Made in the Image of God

Genesis 1:26 (KJV) 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Like God, a Triune Being, which I will discuss on the topic of the Trinity in next Post but for now we will stay on the Creation of man or “Adam”. Man was made in the likeness of God a Body, a Spirit, and a Soul.

First a Body, the shell that we indwell, comes from the egg that every Female generates, a woman has a monthly cycle and if it is not fertilized by a male sperm cell which will be discharged each month, for Adam contained the Soul of a person and the Holy Spirit of God- Which is Life, that egg is just Dirt or Carbon. The body is what we are recognized by us and will always be recognized throughout eternity even in our eternal body. The first body was created by God- I will always be me “Sal” and you will always be you.

Genesis 2:7 (KJV) 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

This verse is so very very important due to what has happened here, and you will miss it like most who have taught it. First man was taken from a fallen creation, because Sin had already entered the creation process due to the first sin that was perpetrated by Lucifer which caused him to be cast down to the earth. ? where does the shell or body we live in returns to when it is expired here on earth, Is it not back to the ground it came from.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 (KJV) 7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

The second part of Genesis 2:7 where Adam became a “Living Soul” was due to God also moving into Adam and making him One with God and because only “God is Good” Adam only knew good and was alive due the Spirit of God that was “breathed” in him.

Now the Soul of a person which is, who you are which consists of the Mind, the Will and Emotions. In Ecclesiastes 12:7 the spirit that returns to God is your Soul to be judged based on what you have done with Jesus here on earth 1. Your rejection of Him 2. Your Repentance and Belief in Him. Now most all that teach of the spirit of a person confuses that with the Spirit of God which we receive at Salvation and because of the Cross, God moves back into us. The two spirits are different, one is You and the other is Jesus Christ and consists of the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

The third part of Adam “Man” was the Spirit of God, which gave Life to Adam and he became a living Soul and now we have all Three parts of the Trinity or the “Image of God” until Adam and Eve sinned and God moves out of them.

Now when Adam and Eve Sinned God moved out of them and no longer in the Image of God, but are a Body, a Soul, And a Conscience not only knowing Good they gained Knowledge of EVIL from eating from the Tree they were told not to eat from. I will give you Four verses to ponder until I cover them, in upcoming Posts.

Genesis 3:9-11 (KJV) 9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

It is taught that it was Adams disobedience and that there was no intrinsic value in the FRUIT itself, which is a LIE. Their eyes were opened when they ate the FRUIT were, they not.

Genesis 5:3 (KJV) 3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

? Adam is now a Body, a Soul, and a Conscience Not a Body, Soul, and Spirit of God. Adam is now a fallen creature, where God had moved out of Adam and Eve and because of that Adam “Man” and Eve are no longer in the “Image of God” along with every man, woman and child born after them.

We have been taught that you and I were “Created in the Image of God” and it has been a Lie.

Am I, the only one that sees this in Scripture.
